WE WON!
We are Rubbish Runners, a team of London based home-educators competing in First Lego League. (read more about us and FLL on the About page) On 16th of January we won our regional competition at Queen Mary's University and went through to the UK and Ireland National Finals. We were one of 44 teams competing on the day, and we all had an amazing time, and at the end of the day we won Runners Up award! We were then invited to the Open European Championships (OEC) in Tenerife, Canary Islands on the 4th May - 7th May.
We have now been to Tenerife for the OEC. We had a fantastic time there, and made lots of new friends, including with a team from the Netherlands, the Montessori Trash Trek Rangers, and from South Africa, Hey That's Us (yes, that is actually their team name!). In the end, we won an Innovative Solution award, and are very proud!
Thank you very much to everyone who, sponsored, supported or helped team Rubbish Runners!
